About Me
Nikki is pursuing an MA in History of Design and Curatorial Studies at Parsons School of Design, where she teaches undergraduate courses on design history. She has a passion for exploring the intersections of art, culture, and social justice, with a focus on Latinx, queer, and women artists in New York City’s arts landscape.
Before joining Parsons, Nikki worked as a Program Associate at The Latinx Project at NYU, a research center celebrating Latinx art and history. In the summer of 2024, she collaborated with the Guggenheim Museum's curatorial team to research newly acquired works and potential gallery rehangs. Nikki holds a B.A. in Individualized Study from NYU Gallatin, where her studies centered on Latinas in U.S. Visual Culture and the role of art in driving social change.
Nikki has honed her skills in social media, web and graphic design, content writing, and curatorial work through roles at institutions like Cooper Hewitt, The Gallatin Galleries, and the NYC Commission for Human Rights. Her contributions span exhibition design, program development, and advocacy campaigns.
Fluent in Spanish and deeply committed to social justice, Nikki has supported immigration reform through fellowships and internships focused on migrant rights. Her dedication to these causes fuels her artistic and academic pursuits, bridging art and activism in powerful ways.
